The Winter Solstice


The Winter Solstice is on December 21 or 22 or 23, which indicates the weather is becoming really cold and the days are becoming longer. It’s the shortest day in the Northern Hemisphere. At this day, people in the north of China eat dumplings, and people in the south of China eat Tangyuan. Chinese people look forward to a wonderful snow this day. The saying that a fall of seasonal snow gives promise of a fruitful year indicates the nice wish of all Chinese.
